WAYCHAMP strengthens its international projection with a 2026 calendar across four continents

The brand will combine its own tournaments with participation in official World Taekwondo (WT) events, marking new milestones in Europe, America, Australia and Asia.

WAYCHAMP  is already outlining its roadmap for the 2026 season with a competition calendar spanning Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Oceania. The plan reflects a strategy of gradual growth within the international taekwondo scene, alternating participation in official World Taekwondo (WT) events with the organization of its own tournaments.

Following its previous appearance at events such as the Mount Everest Open in Nepal (G1), the 2026 schedule will continue expanding the brand’s global reach. In this context, one of the upcoming events will be the Waychamp Open Australia, scheduled for April 26 in Melbourne. Although it is not part of the official WT circuit, the event will help strengthen the brand’s visibility in Oceania, featuring competition in both kyorugi and poomsae disciplines.

From August onward, activity will intensify within the official circuit, particularly in Asia. The China Open in Changsha (August 20–21) and the 34th Fajr Open in Tehran (August 24–27), both G1-level events, along with the Taiyuan WT Women’s Open Championships (August 28–30), a G4-level competition, are part of the official calendar and will impact the international rankings.

One of the highlights of the year will come in October with the World Taekwondo Grand Prix Series in Paris (October 9–11), one of the most prestigious competitions on the circuit (G6). This will also mark Waychamp’s first presence at a WT event in Europe. That same month, Boyacá (Colombia) will host the 4th Kids World Open Taekwondo Championships 2026, focused on youth development categories.

The calendar will conclude in December in Wuxi (China), where the World Taekwondo Grand Slam Challenge (G2) will take place from December 9 to 10, followed by the World Cup Team Championships final (G8) on December 15—one of the most important team events of the year.

Beyond these competitions, Spain will host the III Waychamp Open in Sant Pere de Ribes on September 26. This event, organized by the brand itself, reinforces its direct presence in Europe and is open to athletes.

Additionally, Waychamp’s calendar includes a series of smaller-scale events, activations, and private brand presentations that are not part of the main agenda. These activities will take place in countries such as Spain, Chile, Colombia, Nicaragua, Brazil, Canada, the United States, Andorra, Ireland, Great Britain, and Belgium, further strengthening its international presence at different levels.

Waychamp, specialized in electronic scoring and protection systems, has been recognized by international organizations for the quality and innovation of its products, supporting its growing integration across various stages of global taekwondo.

With activity at multiple competitive levels and across four continents, 2026 is shaping up to be a key year in the brand’s international consolidation.
